Softball splits opening day doubleheader with Coastal Bend


The softball team began its 2016 season with a doubleheader scrimmage against Coastal Bend College Saturday afternoon. The Saints took the first game 13-5 in five innings and dropped the second 9-8. Head Coach James Kling said, “I was pleased with our offensive output today. To score 21 runs against anyone in two games is good this early in the season. If we can fix our defensive miscues, and get our pitches more consistent in the zone, we will do fine this year.” Read full article online.
