Men’s basketball picked second in 2016-2017 RRAC Preseason Poll

Following an NAIA Elite 8 finish in the 2016 NAIA National Tournament, the men’s basketball team has been picked second in the 2016-2017 Red River Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Preseason Poll. After finishing third in the standings last year, more is expected of OLLU. Last year’s RRAC Newcomer of the Year and first-team all-conference selection Joe Jackson returns. The senior forward was the second-leading scorer in the conference last year with 20.1 points per game, and he was the top rebounder with 9.7 per game. He was named to the NAIA All-American Second Team. Darion Brown, the conference assist leader last year, also returns, as well as Dilepso Blanco, Dav’vin Hill, Michael Hagan-Daniel.
