The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) released the pool assignments and schedule for the 2017 NAIA Women’s Volleyball National Championship final site in Sioux City, Iowa. The 12 winners from the national championship opening round games, including OLLU, join the 19 teams that received an opening round bye and host Morningside to form the 32-team field. The Saints are in Pool B along with the Viterbo University V-Hawks from La Cross, Wisc.; the Eastern Oregon Mountaineers from La Grande, Ore.; Georgetown Tigers from Georgetown, Ky. This marks the first time in OLLU history that the Saints volleyball team has advanced past the opening round and moved on to the final site of the national championships.
Schedule:
- Saints vs. Viterbo at 1 p.m. on Nov. 28
- Saints vs. Eastern Oregon at 4 p.m. on Nov. 29
- Saints vs. Georgetown at 2 p.m. on Nov. 30
If the Saints finish first or second in their pool, they will advance to bracket play on Dec. 1. Then those matches will be single elimination.
