OLLU will present an online event on Thursday, ‘Why Catholic Social Teaching Demands Social Justice,” hosted by critically acclaimed author, historian and Georgetown University professor, Marcia Chatelain, PhD.
In a 90-minute presentation that begins at 6:30 p.m., Dr. Chatelain will discuss the power of Catholic school teaching in its resistance to historic expressions of violence and racial harm. Dr. Chatelain is the author of “South Side Girls” and “Franchise: The Golden Arches in Black America.”
