OLLU group works to build homes in Louisiana

University Ministry collaborated with the St. Bernard Project for the third year to help rebuild homes lost during Hurricane Katrina in 2005.

Nine years after the hurricane hit the area, more than 500 families have moved back to the area; however, there are more than 100 families still on the waiting list.

The St. Bernard Project is a “nonprofit organization whose mission is to ensure that disaster-impacted communities recover in a prompt, efficient, and predictable way.”
