Women’s basketball defeats Southwest in final regular season game


Women’s basketball finished out its regular season with a 97-49 win over the University of the Southwest (USW). The Saints are the Red River Athletic Conference regular season champions with a record of 18-2 and 25-5 overall. As the No. 1 seed in the conference tournament, the Saints and No. 2 seed Wiley will have a first-round bye. On March 3, the third seed will face the sixth seed and the fourth seed will play the fifth seed. The Saints – the No. 11 team in the NAIA – will face the lowest remaining seed on Friday, March 6, at 1 p.m. Wiley will play the highest remaining seed at 6 p.m. The championship game will take place on Saturday, March 7.
