
Zachry Group is a privately held business engaged primarily in the engineering, construction, and maintenance of large industrial facilities in the United States. In his role, Rodriguez oversees the organization’s community investment and philanthropic efforts, media relations and government affairs.
Rodriguez served as deputy city manager for the City of San Antonio from 2008-2011. Prior to joining the city, Rodriguez served as president and chief executive officer of the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. During his four-year tenure, the Hispanic Chamber doubled its membership base to more than 1,000 members, and grew its total revenue by 64 percent. He also served as vice president at the Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce and managed the Public Affairs Council and Small Business departments.
Rodriguez was honored in 2014 with an award for volunteer service to Project Quest, where he assisted in leading the organization’s strategic planning efforts. Additional honors include the 2010 Latino Leaders – “Thought Leader Award”; 2008 La Prensa “Leadership” award; University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) – 2008 Alumnus of the Year award; 2008 San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce “Life Member” award; 2007 UTSA College of Business – Young Alumnus of the Year award; and the San Antonio Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” award in 2003.
