Jackson led the Saints with 20 points, six rebounds and five assists while Allen Wilcher posted his second consecutive double-double with a career-high 17 points and 10 rebounds.
On Saturday, the Saints struggled to close out the No. 1-ranked LSU-Alexandria (LSUA) Generals, losing 72-79.
On seniors’ night, Joe Jackson led the team with 25 points and eight rebounds, and Michael Hagan-Daniel scored 10 points and had two blocks to help the Saints hold a lead for much of the game; but the team was out-executed down the stretch, falling short against the only undefeated team in the nation.
With the loss, OLLU finished its regular season 18-8 and 12-6 in conference play. LSUA finished 29-0, winning all 18 conference games on its way to a Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) title.
Next week, the Saints will travel to Alexandria, La. to compete in the RRAC Tournament, which takes place from March 2-4. OLLU will play Wiley College on March 2 in the tournament quarterfinals. The two teams split the season series 1-1.
