Women’s track and field’s Culliver, Ramirez and Oslund set OLLU records at UIW Quadrangle

The women’s track and field team participated in the two-day UIW Quadrangle sponsored by the University of the Incarnate Word (UIW). In the first day of the event, OLLU’s Aundrea Culliver, Shenaya Thomas and Samantha Millan competed in the long jump. Culliver came in sixth place with a mark of 5.03m — a new OLLU record. Thomas followed at 4.72.m and Millan at 4.10m. Also on the first day, long-distance runners were on the schedule. In the 1500m, Elena Oslund finished in eighth place with a time of 4:54.95; her time is an OLLU record. On the second day, Jennifer Ramirez qualified for the NAIA National Track and Field Championship Meet with her times in the hurdles. For the 100m hurdles, her time was 14.64 for second place, while Miki Romain’s time was 15.14 for third place. Ramirez won the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:04.01. Thomas placed third with a time of 1:11.81, followed by Romain with a time of 1:18.61 for fourth place. Both of Ramirez’s times are new OLLU records
