In 2017, the OLLU community contributed more than $23,000 to United Way with a 79-percent employee participation rate. OLLU ranked first in percentage of employee participation among the San Antonio higher education workplace employee campaigns. Since the OLLU community is known for its strong commitment to service and community, the goal is to keep keep this top ranking in participation among the San Antonio higher education institutions.
This year, employees will have another format to give with the addition of the online E-Pledge Portal. For those who choose to give via the portal, the minimum donation is $5. Employees can sign in to the portal using their OLLU email address and ID number. Paper pledge forms will still be distributed.
Individuals who donate $25 or more will be entered into a drawing that will take place during the employee Thanksgiving luncheon on Nov. 13. Additionally, there is a competition for the greatest team participation on campus. The team with 100-percent participation will receive a luncheon or afternoon social.
The campaign ends Nov. 16.
