New Staff Assembly set to hold first meeting on Wednesday

The new Staff Assembly – a merger of the former Staff Organization and Staff Advisory Council – will hold its first meeting on Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. in Main Building, Room 220 or via WebEx (code: OLLU).

The purpose of the Staff Assembly is to participate in the governance of OLLU in the achievement of its mission. The Staff Assembly serves in an advisory capacity to the OLLU President, communicating the recommendations, requests, findings, and decisions of all staff constituents directly to the President. The executive committee is made up of the President, President-Elect, Past President and Secretary.

During March, the Executive Committee will identify representatives whose terms are set to expire and reach out to the chief division administrator where representatives are needed. The chief division administrator will seek nominations from within the division’s staff. The division will then vote on their representative.

There are fourteen representatives in the Staff Assembly. Each division is represented accordingly:

Wednesday’s first meeting is scheduled for one hour.

A regular, monthly one-hour Staff Assembly meeting for all staff will be held a minimum of two times during the fall semester and two times during the spring semester. All important information (reports, agendas, minutes, etc.) will be available to staff on the Staff Assembly SharePoint site. It is currently under construction. We will notify you when access is available.
