Reminder: OLLU Hosts San Antonio Philharmonic for Special Bach Concert Series

Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) is honored to welcome the San Antonio Philharmonic to the Sacred Heart Chapel as part of the Bach: Reverberations & Reflections concert series. This collaboration, in partnership with Westside community institutions, marks a historic first—bringing world-class symphonic performances to the Westside of San Antonio.

A Cultural Milestone for OLLU and the Westside

“This marks a historic first—bringing a symphony orchestra to the Westside, making world-class music accessible to our community,” says Dr. Abel Antonio Chávez, President of OLLU. “In this sacred space, music becomes a vessel for faith, renewal, and celebration.”

A Celebration of Bach’s Legacy

Join us in celebrating the timeless beauty of Bach’s music in one of San Antonio’s most cherished historic venues. The series will feature two unforgettable performances:

Featuring the San Antonio Chamber Choir and the Children’s Chorus of San Antonio, this joyous and festive oratorio was first performed in 1725. This year, we celebrate its 300th anniversary alongside the Catholic Church’s Jubilee Year.
