The volleyball team played a tough first-conference match and succeeded in edging out the Mustangs from the University of the Southwest (USW) 3-2. The Saints defeated the Mustangs 20-25, 25-21, 25-21, 22-25, 15-11. The win moves the Saints to 1-0 in the Red River Athletic Conference and 5-1 overall, while the Mustangs drop to 0-1 in conference and 3-8 overall. Head Coach Jeremiah Tiffin said, “We won our first conference match and that was our goal. I thought USW played a tremendous match.
