J.R. Helton, OLLU fall 2016 Visiting Writer, will hold a public reading Wednesday, Nov. 16, at 6:30 p.m. in Providence Hall, Blue Room.
Helton has published books on movies, drugs, people and dogs. His book “Below the Line” (2000) is based on his work in the film industry. The memoir “Man and Beast” (2001), and novels “Drugs”(2012) and “The Jugheads” (2014) are from Seven Stories Press in New York. He has published two books in French with 13th Note Editions in Paris, “Au Texas tu serais déjà mort” (2011) and “Voyage au bout de la blanche” (2012). He also has published short stories and some poetry in “Mineshaft Magazine,” “The Sun” and “The Missouri Review.”
