OLLU closes out season 75th in Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup

OLLU finished 75th in the 2017 NAIA Learfield Directors’ Cup, Last year, the Saints were No. 48 in the nation. The Saints finished in 75th place with a total of 217 points. There are 199 teams listed in the standings. For the spring, the Saints earned 45 points for men’s golf, which captured the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) and finished No. 15 in the national championship tournament. OLLU tennis earned 25 points for winning the NAIA Unaffiliated Group/RRAC Championship and placing 17th in the national tournament.  In the winter, the Saints earned 25 points for securing the women’s basketball regular season title. The women finished in 17th place in the national tournament and 16th in the national coaches’ poll.  The Saints captured four titles in the fall. They tallied 38 points for women’s cross-country and finished in 34th place. The men’s cross-country team totaled 34 points and finished in 36th place. Women’s soccer added 25 points and finished in 17th place. Volleyball also tallied 25 points and finished in 33rd place.  OLLU placed 30th in the fall season with a total of 122 points.
