The Saints Overnight Stay (SOS) program allows employees to use a room in Providence Hall (former dorm room) free of charge when the following applies:
- An employee needs respite on long days that include a full work day plus evening, on-campus work commitments;
- An employee is working long hours or overnight preparation for special event; or
- An employee is visiting from the Houston or RGV campuses
The room can also serve as a lodging option for guests of the university. The room is intended for short-term stays and can be reserved in one-night increments not to exceed three nights per semester. The room can be reserved through the university Event Management System (EMS) and will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
