Under the guidance of Professor Maribel LaÌrraga, PhD, three students this summer completed an online Spanish course, Civilization and Culture of Mexico, with personal instruction in Renaissance Parlor.
Senior biology major Ariana Villarreal needed the course to graduate in December. Orianna Isidro needed the class to remain on track to complete her B.A. in Spanish in 2021. And Star Hernandez needed it to begin her education course work while double majoring in Spanish and math.
The students complemented online course work and independent readings with Friday afternoon meetings in Main with Dr. LaÌrraga,
“These young students work full time and just inspire me,” Dr. LaÌrraga said. “It’s truly Providential that I get to work with these wonderful, young adults.”
