Book presentation on ‘Silencing Biases in Leadership’ to be held on Tuesday

A panel discussion and book presentation of “Silencing Gender, Age, Ethnicity and Cultural Biases in Leadership” will be held online Tuesday at 6 p.m. with two alumni: Esther Gergen (PhD 2008), Professor of Leadership Studies, and Camilla Montoya (MS 2015), editor of the book and seminar instructor at Texas A&M-San Antonio.

Dr. Gergen, a contributor to the book, and Montoya, will present their compilation of real-life accounts from Latinas in leadership positions in the United States.

The panel, moderated by Elma Nieto-Rodriguez, Public Services Administrator for the San Antonio Library, will explore the complexity of life choices for Latinas in the workplace and their struggles in challenging social assumptions.
