An Evening of Poetry with Dr. Wallis R. Sanborn III

Join us for a special literary event as Dr. Wallis R. Sanborn III shares a reading from his latest collection, Son of Bukowski. This exciting evening will take place on Thursday, March 27th, in Main 311, from 6 PM to 8 PM, and will also feature special guest Octavio Quintanilla.

Dr. Sanborn’s poetry captures life’s struggles and hopes with honesty and emotion, using words to preserve history and truth

Reflecting on the importance of remembering and sharing stories, Dr. Sanborn is guided by the words of Elie Wiesel, a writer and survivor who once said:

“My life as a writer—or my life, period—would not have become what it is: that of a witness who believes he has a moral obligation to try to prevent the enemy from enjoying one last victory by allowing his crimes to be erased from human memory.”

Mark your calendars and join us for an unforgettable evening of storytelling and creativity!
