The volleyball team returned to Mabee Gym on Friday after 10 straight matches on the road, and the Saints did not disappoint the home crowed as they won against the University of the Southwest, 3-0 (25-19,25-22,25-18 ). The win improves the Saints record to 8-5 overall and 3-1 in the Red River Athletic Conference, while the Mustangs move to 6-7 overall and 2-2 in the RRAC. The Saints will return to Mabee Gym on Tuesday, Oct. 1 at 6 p.m., to host the University of Texas at Brownsville. The Saints have faced Brownsville 13 times since 2007, and OLLU has won just one of the matches back in November of 2008 by the score of 3-1. The Ocelots. which have won the NAIA championship tournament several times, have overpowered the Saints 3-0 11 times and once beat the Saints 3-2.
