The Mexican American Unity Council (MAUC) is seeking nominations for recipients of the 2014 Spirit of Education Award, which recognizes an individual or organization who has advanced the cause of education in San Antonio.

MAUC has presented the Spirit of Education Award annually since 2009. Previous honorees are David and Cindy Marquez, the Intercultural Development and Research Association, the Harvey E. Najim Family Foundation, Project Stay Inc. and Manuel P. Berriozábal, PhD.

Nominations should be submitted in the form of a letter, including brief background on the person or organization nominated. All submissions should be sent via email to Debra Hernandez by Friday, March 21 at dhernandez@mauc.org. The award will be presented during the MAUC Spirit of Education Awards luncheon on June 21.
