Join the Center for Women for Women’s History Month movie nights

The Center for Women in Church and Society is hosting two movie nights in celebration of Women’s History Month. Both award-winning films tell stories of how women came together to change the world around them.
On Tuesday, “Band of Sisters,” will be shown. The film tells the story of Catholic nuns and their work for social justice after Vatican II of the 1960s. Learn more about the film.
On March 25, “Pray the Devil Back to Hell,” will be shown. The film tells the story of ordinary Liberian women — Christian and Muslim — who banded together, prayed, fasted, and protested until they brought an end to Liberia’s civil war. In the film, Leymah Gbowee, one of the movement’s heroines, launches the campaign. Learn more about the film.
Both films will be shown at 9 p.m. in the Library Community Room.
