Xavier Roberson selected to NAIA DI Men’s Basketball All-Star Team and will participate in 3-point contest

OLLU’s Xavier Roberson has been selected to participate in the 2014 NAIA Division I Men’s Basketball All-Star team and the 3-Point Contest. The NABC-NAIA Men’s Basketball All-Star Game, presented by US Bank, and the NABC-NAIA Men’s Basketball 3-Point and Slam Dunk Contests, presented by Rawlings, will occur on March 22, as part of the Buffalo Funds-NAIA Division I Men’s Basketball National Championship in Kansas City, Mo. Roberson and the men’s basketball team missed qualifying for the national championship by one vote. The Saints finished their season with a 21-11 record and they led the NAIA in scoring offense (100.125), in 3-pointers/game (13.031), in total 3-pointers made (417), in offensive rebounds/game (17.00), in steals/game (14.406), in total steals (461) and in turnover margin (9.844). They finished second in total scoring offense (3204) and in assists/game (633/19.78) and in the top 10 in several more categories.
