Amanda Hinojosa selected as conference ‘Softball Player of the Week’
Amanda Hinojosa of picked up Red River Athletic Conference Softball Co-Player of the Week honors for April 7-13. Hinojosa, a senior shortstop from San Antonio, accounted for two home runs and seven RBIs in a 3-2 week for the Lady Saints. In the opener of a three-game series with Texas College, she went 2-for-3 with a homer and two RBIs to pace an 11-0 victory. In the following game, she connected on a grand slam and scored three runs in a 16-0 rout. Hinojosa added another hit in the finale against TXC as OLLU completed a sweep. For the week, she was 5-of-12 at the plate with seven runs scored and two walks. The Saints advanced 10-2 in conference play and 27-9-1 overall. Read full article online.
