Golfer Christopher Schriedel captures Cimarron Collegiate Open

CollegiateTourSaints golfer Christopher Schriedel captured the Cimarron Collegiate Open after a tie-breaker against teammate Ian Berrigan. The tournament was presented by State Farm Insurance and was part of the Collegiate Players Tour (CPT). OLLU Head Golf Coach Alan Baxter said, “This is quite a feather in the cap for OLLU men’s golf. It’s a prestigious accomplishment, and I am proud of their performances.”  Both Schriedel and Berrigan tied after 54 holes played over two days at the Cimarron Country Club in McAllen, Texas. Schriedel shot a 75-70-72, while Berrigan shot 73-70-74 for a final of 217. As the first and second-place finishers, both have qualified for the CPT National Championship Tournament at The Honors Golf Club of Dallas in Carrollton, Texas. The event will be held Aug. 4-7.
