Jonathan Yanez, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and sophomore at OLLU, finished in 14^th place in the San Antonio Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon on Sunday. His time for the half marathon, which is 21.0975 kilometers, or 13.1094 miles, was 1:12:21. Yanez ran the event as a way to qualify for the NAIA Marathon Championship that will take place next spring. The standards to qualify for the NAIA event are to finish a half marathon in 1:14 for the “B” standard and 1:12 for the “A” standard.
