Lecture by UIW Moody Professor this afternoon

The OLLU community is invited to a lecture by University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) Moody Professor, Lopita Nath, PhD, today at 4 p.m. in Providence Hall, West Social Room. Dr. Nath’s lecture, “Seeking Shangri-La: Pathways to Assimilation,” focuses on the Bhutanese refugee journey to the U.S. and the hardships encountered on the way and during assimilation.

The Moody Professorship is a shared program with UIW. It was established in 1971 through a gift from the Moody Foundation of Galveston. It provides two endowed professorships each year—one at OLLU and one at UIW. Moody professors from both universities present lectures on each campus. Dr. Jane Grovijahn is the OLLU 2014-2015 Moody Professor. She will present her OLLU lecture on Feb. 9 in Providence Hall, Blue Room.
