Women’s basketball defeats Southwest by 63 points

Womens Basketball 1-23-15-2After a phenomenal game Friday night from OLLU’s starters, Saturday’s win belonged to the Saints’ bench as they guided the team to a 108-45 win over the University of the Southwest (USW). The Saints bench scored 67 points. The NAIA’s No. 15 Saints move to 15-4 overall and 9-1 in the Red River Athletic Conference, while Southwest drops to 3-18 overall and 1-9 in conference. OLLU is now tied with Langston University (17-1/9-1) after the Lady Lions suffered their first loss of the season on Saturday. The NAIA’s No. 17 Wiley College defeated the NAIA’s No. 5 ranked team 85-76. The Saints will begin the second half of their conference schedule. They will travel to Louisiana to play LSU-Alexandria (LSUA) on Jan. 30 and LSU-Shreveport (LSUS) on Jan. 31.
