OLLU women’s basketball defeats Jarvis by 26 points during Seniors’ Night

Women's Basektball-Victoria TurnerOLLU trounced Jarvis Christian College 78-52 in the Saints’ last regular season home game in front of a packed Mabee Gymnasium. The win moves the Saints to 23-5 overall and 16-2 in the Red River Athletic Conference. The Saints are now in sole possession of first place – a full game ahead of Langston University (24-3/15-3) and Wiley College (21-3/15-3). Langston lost its game tonight to LSU-Shreveport 78-66, while Wiley defeated Huston-Tillotson University 99-70. Jarvis drops to 6-18 overall and 4-14 in the conference.  Saturday marked the last home game for seniors Courtney Bayliss (SR/Perth, Western Australia), Mercedes Dobson (SR/West Sacramento, Calif.) and Victoria Turner (SR/West Sacramento, Calif.). OLLU will play its last two games on the road. On Feb. 26, the Saints will play the University of St. Thomas in Houston, and on Feb. 28, they will play the University of the Southwest in Hobbs, N.M.
