Sonji Green’s sixth double-double and Alyssa Ward’s 21 points guided the Our Lady of the Lake University women’s basketball team to a 37-point win over LSU-Alexandria last Saturday. The Saints defeated the Generals 89-52 to move to 6-2 overall and 2-0 in the Red River Athletic Conference, while the Generals drop to 1-3 in conference and 1-4 overall. Head Coach Christopher Minner said, “This was a great way to start conference play with a sweep of the Louisiana schools. I am very happy with our effort and defensive focus. We will continue to improve as the new players get used to our systems and each other.
