The OLLU community is invited to a reading by poet Hayan Charara on Thursday, Feb. 18 at 7:30 p.m. in Main Building, Room 311.
Charara is the author of “The Alchemist’s Diary,” “The Sadness of Others,” and “Something Sinister.” He edited, “Inclined to Speak,” an anthology of contemporary Arab American Poetry, and his children’s book, “The Three Lucys,” received the New Voices Award Honor. He is also the recipient of a poetry fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Lucille Joy Prize in Poetry.
Charara teaches in the Honors College at the University of Houston. He previously taught in the English department at OLLU.
