The baseball team won one of four games in a series against NCAA Division II Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) at Missions Baseball Academy. The Saints and Dustdevils began their series on Friday when they split the doubleheader. TAMIU took the first game 1-0 and OLLU won the second game 12-10. TAMIU closed out the series with 3-1 and 3-0 victories on Saturday. OLLU now sits on 5-6 on the year, while TAMIU moves up to 4-6 on the season. Head Coach Freddy Rodriguez said, “This was a tough and emotional series. We have to get better on offense. We weren’t able to drive in runs with runners in scoring positions in the three losses. Our starting pitching has been good all year and keeping us in games, but we need to find a way to score runs and help them out. If we can get our bats going, we will be a dangerous team.” Read full article online.
