The OLLU float, designed by Elizabeth Longoria and Jesse Arenas from Marketing and Communications, won second place in the community division of the Fiesta Flambeau Parade.
The float, which featured iconic San Antonio landmarks, was viewed by more than 700,000 people along the parade route and another 1.5 million people on television.
Students, volunteers and staff from Institutional Advancement helped construct the float, which included a replica of the Tower of the Americas, the Hemisfair sign and the cowboy boots from North Star Mall.
