Summer Prospect Showcase for baseball set for Tuesday

The baseball team will host the 2016 OLLU Summer Prospect Showcase for any unsigned 2016 and 2017 high school graduates. Current college transfers may also participate in this showcase. The showcase will be held at Missions Baseball Academy, the home of Saints Baseball, on Tuesday. The showcase will be organized and led by the OLLU baseball coaching staff. It is designed for student athletes to showcase their baseball skills in a pro-style workout setting with possible scholarship and walk-on opportunities. This workout will include catcher pop times, 60 times, hitting and defensive assessment. Velocity measurements will include: infield/outfield throws, bat exit, and pitching. Each pitcher will be evaluated in a 15-pitch bullpen setting. Every student athlete will receive an official workout evaluation sheet at the end of the day.

The cost for each showcase is $60 (cash only) if pre-registration is complete. Onsite and late registration cost is $80 (cash only). Payment will be accepted at the field during the registration time on the day of the showcase. Representatives from OLLU’s Office of Admissions and Financial Aid will be attendance at both events to answer questions. For additional information and to register, go here.
