For the first time in history, Our Lady of the Lake University has captured all five fall Red River Athletic Conference championships. First to win was women’s soccer, which finished out the season with a perfect 9-0 record. The men also won their conference with an undefeated 6-0-3 record. Both will be the conference’s top seed in the tournament that begins this week in Houston.
On Friday, both the men’s and women’s cross-country teams won the conference championships. The Saints will travel to the national championship meet in Illinois on Nov. 19. This is the second consecutive championship title for both teams, while the women have captured their third overall.
Also on Friday, the volleyball team won its second consecutive regular season title with a record of 13-1. The Saints will host the conference tournament on Friday and Saturday.
