The College of Arts and Sciences is holding the blessing and dedication of the Veronica Salazar Media Center on Thursday, beginning at 12 p.m., on the second floor of Main Building. The event will begin with remarks and a blessing, followed by a Lake Front TV live broadcast and tour of the new media center.
The Veronica Salazar Media Center has been made possible by a $1 million gift from OLLU alumna Veronica Salazar Escobedo and her husband Ruben Escobedo. Salazar Escobedo is a former columnist, recruiter, community relations director and vice president of the San Antonio Express-News.
Salazar Escobedo is a long-time supporter of OLLU. She served as a trustee, and she provided a generous gift for the reconstruction of Main Building following the 2008 fire.
