The Congregation of Divine Providence will have elections for its new leadership team, Feb. 3-4. There will be no papal white smoke, but there will be a ringing of the special-occasion bell in the Sacred Heart Chapel steeple. Listen for the bell Friday between 3-4 p.m. for the election of the Superior General. The bell will ring again for the election of the three council members on Saturday around noon.
The newly elected Sisters will replace council members, Sister Lourdes Leal, Sister Helen Marie Miksch and Sister Antoinette Billeaud, as well as the Superior General, Sister Ann Petrus, as they complete their term of service in June.
