service-learning-winnersDuring the fall 2016 semester, more than 245 students offered service to the San Antonio community through one or more of the 21 service-learning courses offered in partnership with area nonprofit organizations. One of the semester’s service-learning projects was in COMM 3338 “Marketing for the Media” with Dr. Eilene Wollslager. As part of the course, students worked in teams to develop holistic media marketing plans for two area nonprofits: Green Spaces Alliance and Christian Assistance Ministry.

Pictured are the two winning student teams whose overall marketing plans were most favored by their nonprofit community partner.
