Staff Organization recognizes Employees of the Month

During the February Staff Organization meeting the December and January Employees of the Month were recognized.

Maria E. Gonzales from Housekeeping received the recognition for December. Maria was described by Nina Gutierrez as “always going above and beyond the normal housekeeping scope. Maria helps in making a safe and pleasant work environment. She lays out extra carpet when it is raining to help anyone walking in with wet shoes.”

Luis Forestier from Information Technology Services was recognized as the January Employee of the Month. Luis stepped up to the plate when an emergency situation arose causing him to take on the Help Desk manager’s duties. Raquel Moncado stated, “He ensured there was coverage at the Helpdesk. He came in on a Saturday morning when there wasn’t any student coverage. He did all this without any complaints and volunteered to help me out.”
