Women’s basketball finishes No. 16 in final NAIA Division I Women’s Basketball Coaches’ Top 25 Poll

The women’s basketball team dropped one spot in the final NAIA DI Women’s Basketball Coaches’ Final Top 25 Poll of the season, falling to No. 16, the national office announced Wednesday. The Saints are 1-1 since the previous poll was released on Feb. 28, defeating Huston-Tillotson University in the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) Tournament semifinals before losing to Louisiana State University-Shreveport in the championship game.

OLLU is the only RRAC team in the top 25, though LSU-Shreveport did receive 48 votes. The Saints clinched their fifth consecutive regular season conference title this season and will make their sixth NAIA Women’s Basketball National Tournament appearance. The fourth-seeded Saints will face fifth-seeded The Master’s on Wednesday, March 15 at 9:45 p.m. This year’s NAIA Division I Women’s Basketball Championship is being held in Billings, Mont.
