Men’s Basketball
The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced the 2016-2017 NAIA Division I Men’s Basketball All-America Teams last Thursday. OLLU’s Joe Jackson was named a 2016-2017 NAIA Division I Men’s Basketball First-Team All-American. Jackson is the first men’s basketball student-athlete to be named to the first-team. Players were selected by the NAIA-Men’s Basketball Coaches Association All-America Committee.
Women’s Basketball
The NAIA also announced the 2016-2017 NAIA Division I Women’s Basketball All-America Teams last Thursday. Alyssa Ward was named a 2016-2017 NAIA Division I Women’s Basketball Honorable Mention All-American. Ward led the Saints with 15.03 points and 3.19 steals per game; ranking sixth in the NAIA in steals per game. Players were selected by the NAIA Basketball Coaches Association All-America Committee.
