OLLU’s Ramirez and Ramos have qualified for the outdoor track and field national championships

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has officially announced the complete entry list for the 66th Annual Men’s Outdoor Track and Field National Championships and the 37th annual Women’s Outdoor Track and Field National Championships. For the first time in history, OLLU will send two track and field student-athletes to compete in the championships.

Ricky Ramos (SO/Laredo, Texas) will compete in the 400m Hurdles, while Jennifer Ramirez (FR/Las Cruces, N.M.) will participate in the 100m Hurdles and the 400m Hurdles.

Ramos best time in the 400m hurdles – 54.52 – is the 19th best in the NAIA. Ramirez’s best time in the 100m hurdles – 14.46 – is the 17th best in the NAIA. Her best time in the 400m hurdles – 1:103.02 – is eighth best in the NAIA. Read full story online.
