Three Worden School professors selected to participate in CSWE Director Academy
Three professors from the Worden School of Social Service (WSSS) have been selected to participate in the Council for Social Work Education (CSWE) Program Director Academy. Rebecca Gomez, PhD, LCSW, director of the Worden School; Taniko King-Jordan, DSW, Worden BSW program director; and Karina Gil, PhD, Worden MSW director, will join other social work program directors from across the country to participate in the certificate program aimed at developing strong leaders.
The CSWE Program Director Academy is a leadership certificate program for current baccalaureate and master’s program directors who have been in their positions less than three years and focuses on topics related to program management, competency domains and job functions.
The CSWE Program Director Academy will provide several professional development opportunities, including:
- A CWSE Summer Leadership Institute
- A Leadership Development Institute held at the CSWE Annual Program Meeting (APM)
- An online webinar series presented through the CSWE Learning Academy
- Optional mentorship opportunities with graduates from the Harvard Institutes of Higher Education and the Higher Education Resource Services scholarship programs
