Worden School celebrating National Recovery Month

The OLLU Worden School of Social Service is celebrating National Recovery Month with an event on Thursday, Sept. 14 from 6-8 p.m. in Providence Hall, West Social Room. A personal recovery journey will be shared by a featured speaker to honor individuals and families who are in long-term recovery.

National Recovery Month is an initiative sponsored by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, to increase awareness of behavioral health and substance use conditions.

The Worden School’s participation in National Recovery Month supports individuals facing mental and/or substance use disorders. It also seeks to provide family members with the tools needed to start conversations about prevention, treatment and recovery.
