The women’s cross-country team placed fourth Saturday morning in the Third Annual OLLU Collegiate Invite. The event took place at the Windcrest Golf Course just outside of San Antonio. The meet was won by Trinity University with a score of 43, followed by Texas Wesleyan University and St. Edward’s both with a score of 58. OLLU followed with a 111 score. Austin College came in fifth place at 139, Concordia University at 154 and Schreiner University at 174. The Saints’ top finisher was Jazmine Garcia, who came in fifth place with a time of 19:23.0 in the 5k.
The men’s cross-country team placed third this in the event. The meet was won by Trinity University with a score of 21, followed by St. Edward’s University with a score of 45. OLLU finished with a score of 87, followed by Concordia University, 115, Austin College, 122 and Schreiner University, 162. The Saints’ top finisher was newcomer Andrew Moczygemba, who came in 10th place with a time of 27:04.0 in the 8k. He was followed closely by teammate Nathaniel Aguilar, who finished in 11th place with a time of 27:04.2.
