Three students selected to receive cyber security scholarship

Three OLLU students have been selected to receive scholarships from the Alamo Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA). The scholarships promote education in technical fields to alleviate the shortage of people with technical degrees. Scholarship amounts range from $2,500-$5,000.

The students receiving scholarships are:

  • David R. Garcia – Freshman – Computer Information Systems and Security major
  • Zachary Muha – Junior – Computer Information Systems and Security major
  • Denae A. Brooks – Graduate student in the Master of Science in Information Systems and Security program

The students will be recognized at the Alamo AFCEA Conference Scholarship Recognition Lunch on Nov. 15.
