Volleyball ends historic season in Sioux City

The volleyball team ended its historic season last week after losing the final match of Pool Play in the NAIA National Championship Tournament. The Saints came close, but ultimately lost 3-0 to Georgetown College with scores of 25-19, 25-21 and 29-27. The Saints finish with a record of 24-11. Head Coach Jeremiah Tiffin said, “The whole week had been a learning experience for us. I think we were a little like the kids who are told not to touch the hot stove, but they do it anyway. This week proved to us what kind of discipline it takes to be successful on a national level.

“I’m proud of this team and all the records we set. Raven finished her career on a high note with how she played and she has left a legacy behind.

“I’m excited to see what the future holds. We played a lot of freshmen and the best thing about freshmen is that they become sophomores, and we had really good freshmen. Our whole team is going to take a big step for next season, and I’m really looking forward to seeing what we do.”
