The baseball team outscored Wiley College 34-27, but lost the three-game series 1-2 over the weekend. In the doubleheader on Friday, the Saints lost 9-8. In the second game, Jose Diaz hit a grand slam, and Enrique Ruiz III hit two to guide the team to a 20-6 win. In Saturday’s final game in the Red River Athletic Conference series, the Saints lost 12-6. The Saints drop to 9-16 overall and 3-3 in conference, while Wiley improves to 8-10 overall and 2-4 in conference.  The Saints will host Wayland Baptist University today beginning at 4 p.m. for a doubleheader and Tuesday at 1 p.m. for a single game at Missions Baseball Academy.
