The men’s golf team received a No. 18 ranking in the 2018 NAIA Men’s Golf Coaches’ Top 25 Preseason Poll. Head Coach Alan E. Baxter commented, “It is exciting and humbling that the coaches have voted us in the top 25. We have some newcomers so we have to prove ourselves and work hard. It is a long year.” Under Baxter, the Saints’ best ranking was eighth in 2017. In the 2015-2016 season, the men received a preseason ranking of No. 25. The following season, the Saints debuted in the poll in November 4, 2016, at No. 16. They moved up to 12th, then 10th for two weeks. On May 4, 2017, they jumped to No. 8 and they finished out the season ranked 15th. Last year, the Saints debuted in the poll on March 9, 2018, at the No. 21 spot. They improved to No. 17, where they stayed for three weeks.
