OLLU to host production of ‘Abrazos’ with focus on immigration issues

The Center for Women in Church and Society is collaborating with Teatro Farolito to present “Abrazos” Sunday, Nov. 4 at 3 p.m. in Thiry Auditorium.

“Abrazos” is a stage production adapted from the book of the same title by Rebecca Padilla that tells the story of the pain, strength and perseverance faced by men, women and children immigrants. Their stories of fleeing violence, extortion and even certain death, all in the struggle to ensure their survival and the survival of their children, shed light on the horrendous acts of crime that forced them to leave their motherlands.

This production is part of the “OLLU is Migration” series.

The event is free and open to the public. Books will be available for purchase.
